Need file backup advice?

Here’s the deal. I am trying to back up all data on all (about 5) workstations of the company(it is a landscaping company). They do not have a server. Each computer has different files to backup. One has project diagrams where we do the designs, one has all customer information stored, one has employee information etc… The company has about 2000 customers. I was thinking an external hard drive but the computers are not networked so that would take some time going to each computer all the time. Another question, to have an off site server backup all the information, wouldn’t we need a server?

file backup help????????? ((expert advice needed))?

okay, i got my new western digital 1 tb external hard drive. and i’ve just formatted it to NTFS. and i didn’t install the software that came with the hard drive. i use norton 360. so i want norton 360 to backup all my files. and also if i drag and drop my files. and then set up the backup option, would it store the files twice? i mean the ones i stored and the ones that will be stored by norton? or, will norton backup only the files that i haven’t drag and dropped?

in case if you must know i use windows vista 64 bit os……….
