I want to replace my hard drive. How do i backup my entire hard drive into the hard drive that i will replace?

My hard drive has gone bad, and i want to backup my entire hard drive. However i don’t know how to do it and what equipment to use. I know how to remove the hard drive and install a new one.

I went to comodo.com and they offer a backup service called, “online backup”, where they back up your entire hard drive into their servers

The problem is its too expensive. They charge over $60 an year for that. I’m broke. Please help.

How Best To Fully Backup/mirror An Entire Computer Including Programs?

I have already in place a backup drive to save essential data. But in case of theft, I would like to mirror my whole computer to a large external drive (500gb) so it would be easy to restore not just the data but also the OS, drivers and programs. I have a decent PC with Win XP. Thanks.
