Would you trust relying on data storage websites online as backup, even if it’s set to private?

This is what I have to do now, since my 3-yr. old laptop computer is messed up, & I don’t have the $$ to buy an external hard drive. I need a whole brand new computer. I usually make 2 copies of my data & put it on blank DVD’s, but since my DVD drive & computer screen are messed up, I have no choice but to temporarily use these sites. I wonder sometimes, “What if this site is gone tomorrow?” You know how websites change every day. You never know when someone will shut down a website, & they won’t warn you, either.
